  • Fault Tree Construction. System and component events, construction rules, constructing a simple fault tree.
  • Minimal Cut Sets. Converting the tree structure to a Boolean representation, eliminating redundant sets, evaluating sets with a computer program.
  • Basic Probability Theory. Independence and exclusivity, addition law, multiplication law.
  • Component Failure and Repair Models. Failure rate, constant failure and repair rate model, dormant failure model, application within a fault tree study.
